The Life of Mary Lue Harvey
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the LORD, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day-and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
A Time To Be Born:
Mary Lue Halley Harvey was born on March 9, 1946 to the late Louis Berger and Geneva Halley in Lake Providence, Louisiana.
A Time For Salvation:
She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at a young age and united with North Star Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorate of the late Rev A. L. Thomas and currently under the leadership of Reverend E. C. Mitchell.
A Time To Learn:
She received her formal education at G. W. Griffin High School in Lake Providence, Louisiana.
A Time To Serve:
She was a dutiful and faithful member of the North Start Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a Mother of the Church until death.
A Time To Work:
Mary retired from East Carroll Parish School System where she work as a Food Service Technician at Southside Elementary School.
A Time To Die
On Tuesday, December 1, 2020 around 7:35 p.m. The Angelic Angel Of Peace surrounded her and escorted her to her eternal resting place. She leaves to cherish her memories four children of her marriage to Charlie J. Harvey: Terry Lynn Harvey, Bobby Karl Harvey, Tina Marie Benford (Michael) and Jacqueline Jenett Harvey. She also leaves to cherish her memories five sisters: Cinderella Nervis, Nocelora Halley Hayes (Charlie), Marie Cole Little, Geneva Halley, and Thelma J. Berger. Five brothers: Gabe Halley (Cosetta), John H. Berger, Percy L. Berger, Thomas H. Berger (Janene), Dale R. Berger. Preceded in death, one sister: Nancy Cole Seals and four brothers: Tommy Halley Sr., Charlie L. Berger, Roman D. Berger, and Dennis L. Berger; nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends,
