Debra Ann Nash-Jones was born January 20, 1964 to the late Lottie and Willie Nash Sr.
She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. Later in life she joined Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Mark Sledge where she remained a faithful member until her health began to decline. Debra often stressed how she loved the Lord and how good He had been to her during her life. Debra was truly a Prayer Warrior she believed in the power of prayer.
Debra received her educational training within the schools of East Carroll Parish.
Debra’s enjoyed cooking and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Those grands were the love of her life.
On July 19, 2020, with her family surrounding her, Debra answered the Master call to take her rest into the bosom of Abraham. Those who met and received her spirit at the gates were her parents, Willie and Lottie Nash, siblings, Shirley Nash-Davis, Wanda Nash-Fletcher and Johnny Nash.
Her inspiration and memories will forever dwell within: her husband, Anthony Lee Jones; two daughters, Tiesano Nash-Jackson (Kenneth) and Olivia Nash-Thompson (Brandon)., two son, Aubrey Nash (Jermeica) and John Nash (Shanterial). Twelve grandchildren, Kervin Scott, Jr., Kervontae Scott, Aubrey Nash, Jr., John Nash, Rashad Nash, Jeremiah Nash, Aiden Nash, Monyatta Morris, Ty’Qunneka Nash, Ty’Kendra Jackson, Branjanae Thompson and Addison Nash; two sisters, Mary Ann Nash and Patricia Nash; two brothers; Willie Nash, Sr., and Charles Nash; Godmother, Bobby Jean King and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
