BARBARA JEAN LARRY-LUCAS

Barbara Jean Larry Lucas was born to the family of Isaac Daniel and Daisy Irene Larry on September 12, 1955, she was their 6th child. Born and reared in Lake Providence, Louisiana Barbara attended the parish schools throughout her education. After high school graduation from Lake Providence High School she enrolled as a freshman at Southern University and A & M College.  Barbara came to Christ under the tutelage of the late Rev. Fred Jones and was baptized. She joined the congregation at Central Baptist #1 along with the rest of the family. In her early 20’s, Barbara was married to Albert James Lucas. Their marriage produced one child, their daughter, Tamika Daniel Lucas in 1977.

Though Barbara led a simple life, she was loved by many. Barbara was proceeded in death by her father and mother, Mr. Isaac Daniel Larry, Sr. and Mrs. Daisy Irene Larry, brothers Alfred and Charles Larry, and her sister Nancy Larry Knight. Barbara leaves to mourn her daughter Tamika Lucas (Garland, TX), her siblings Virginia Delores Larry (Garland, TX), Isaac Daniel Larry, II (Woodbridge, VA), and Merrill Ann Brown (Los Angeles, CA). Barbara’s nieces and nephews are amongst those who will miss her: Kedrick Larry, Eric Foster, Evette Sadler, Keisha Walker, Shauna Roberson, Lakeisha Larry, Tramaine Rogers, Jarrod Larry, Isaac Larry, III, Courtney Larry, Leondria Brown, Tresca Larry and many loving great-nieces (Sydney, Kennedy, Kaia, Kyndahl, Erica, and Emerie), great-nephews (Willie, Jr., Cameron, Eric, Jr., and Julian), a great-great nephew (Torrey) and a host of cousins and friends.
